Centre for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD) has told the board appointed to oversee the affairs of the National Disability Commission that it would not fold it’s hand and watch it run the body like personal property.Amadi further advised PWDs to be circumspect about who is appointed into the board, saying that regulators are maximisers of power and cost benefit.CCD Executive Director, David Anyaele gave the warning recently in Abuja at a one-day stakeholders’ forum on ‘Convening on the next level for disability advocacy in Nigeria.’ Anyaele, who regretted that it was only in Nigeria important issues were not given the needed attention, called on stakeholders to ensure that the board deliver on it’s mandate.
