Two fined for selling liquor to woman before fatal DUI crash
Two men who sold alcohol to a “visibly intoxicated” woman last year before she crashed head-on into another car, killing the driver and passenger, were sentenced last week.

Moral and Lefeber were working the counter at Breckenridge Market & Liquor Store on Aug.Ward, who admitted to drinking at the Breckenridge Golf Course earlier that day, appeared “tired” at the liquor store, according to prosecutors.(Colorado Fifth Judicial District) After leaving the liquor store, Ward drove south on Highway 9 toward Blue River, but drunkenly drove her car off the road, then overcorrected across the median line and collided head-on with northbound traffic.Cody Moral, 26, and Avran Lefeber, 38, both from Breckenridge, were sentenced to $800 in court costs and fines and must complete a Training For Intervention Procedures class, the Colorado Fifth Judicial District Attorney’s Office announced Friday.

Ward did not consume the alcohol she bought from Moral and Lefeber, they knew she didn’t appear normal and had a duty to not sell to her at that time,” Stephanie Cava, Deputy 5th Judicial District Attorney, said in a statement.Moral and Lefeber offered to drive her home, but she refused.
