Summerland rescue pleads with people to spay and neuter cats after mom and kittens dumped outside

Photo: Contributed Critteraid is currently trying to get the kitten's mom back to full health Kitten season is becoming increasing busy for the animal rescue society out in Summerland, recently taking in another big litter of kittens and their mom."We try to stay away from 'do this, don't do that' for cats but kitten season is becoming scarily busy all of a sudden!" They found a young mother cat, maybe one year old or even younger, dumped outside in a box with nine kittens."The kittens are all going to be fine but this poor young mom has what we believe to be mastitis and it breaks our hearts to see her so uncomfortable," they wrote.
Every year we hope to see less kittens, and will continue to do what we can to help these young moms - they deserve better." Find out more information about Critteraid and how to help or donate by emailing p , or check out Critteraid’s website.
