Russia threatens Alexei Navalny with jail time
A Russian law enforcement agency is threatening Putin critic Alexei Navalny with jail time unless he returns to the country for hearing.

According to the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service, Navalny violated the terms of a suspended sentence when he fled to a hospital in Germany to recover from being poisoned with the nerve agent Novichok in August.Most Read The service said unless Navalny returns to Moscow by Tuesday morning for hearing regarding his suspended sentence, he will be re-sentenced.Navalny was previously given a suspended sentence for allegedly, along with his brother Oleg, embezzling from two Russian companies.“Navalny was discharged from the Charite Clinic on September 20, 2020, and by October 12 all of the symptoms of his illness have passed,” the Federal Penitentiary Service said in a statement.
