Ohio reported increase of 2,210 student, 1,323 staff coronavirus cases in K-12 schools last week
Ohio's reported increases bringcumulative reported cases to 22,4233 student and 14,114 staff since Sept. 7, when the state instituted school reporting guidelines.

Ohio is now reporting more than 22,000 cumulative coronavirus cases in students.CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Ohio reported an increase of 2,210 new student coronavirus cases and 1,323 staff coronavirus cases for Monday, Dec.13, when the state reported 2,801 student coronavirus cases and 1,908 staff cases.Mike DeWine said during a Wednesday coronavirus briefing that about 45% of Ohio’s public school students are fully remote, with about 71% not fully in school.

The goal is to get students back into buildings, DeWine said.The weekly numbers reported by the state include student and staff cases reported to the district, even if they are not in buildings.
