Jerrell Smoot and Suriedia Florida-Hinds are accused of kidnapping two women, keeping one of them in a dog cage, according to reports.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man and woman are facing criminal charges after police say they kidnapped two women, keeping them in a dog cage in their apartment.A woman who managed to escape from Smoot and Florida-Hinds told police that she had been kidnapped and that another woman was still being held in a cage in the apartment.A second woman had been sexually assaulted and was kept in a dog cage in the apartment for two days, police tell WCPO.Jerrell Smoot, 20, is being held in the Franklin County Jail on two counts of kidnapping and two counts of rape, ABC 6 reports.
