The Girard School District held a special meeting Monday night but decided they need more time to discuss and did not vote to change the current mask mandate.

Decisions on whether to mask or not to mask while in school now lie in the hands of school districts across Erie county, since newly elected Erie County Executive, Brenton Davis repealed the county-wide mask mandate one week ago.“Kids and parents need a choice of their health and safety,” Ken Severance told Erie News Now.
