'It was a dark day': 20 years later, Edmonton police, fire reflect on 9-11 attacks
Edmonton police Chief Dale McFee remembers exactly where he was on Sept. 11, 2001.

Two days of meetings and seminars were abruptly cancelled, McFee said, and instead everyone just left and went home.“It was a dark day,” McFee said, in a recent interview with Postmedia.“Before that, it was something you probably would watch on TV or see in other countries and around the world but it still seemed a long ways away,” said McFee.“I think it’s all put us looking over our shoulders in certain situations,” McFee said.
