Surveillance photo obtained by a local reporter showed the front facade of the building drop onto the street below with tremendous force shortly after 1 a.m. on Friday.

A nearly century-old New York building was completely destroyed in a wild Christmas Eve fire that turned the historic upstate structure into a pile of rubble after its front facade collapsed.[More New York] Volunteers deliver 24,000 Christmas meals to homebound seniors during pandemic year of isolation p Once the fire was finally put out Friday morning, the only part of the building left standing was a small section of wall featuring a mural saying “Spread Love.The cause of the fire at City Blue Imaging, a printing company, in downtown Rochester was not immediately known.” City Blue Imaging has served Rochester out of the same location since its founding in 1926.

Ryan Fleming told reporters at the scene that a lack of entry points like windows made the blaze difficult to extinguish, forcing some 70 firefighters to battle it well into the early hours of Christmas Day.An entry on the company’s website says its employees “thrive” on the “challenges of distinguishing ourselves by making service to our customers our number one priority.
