The Chancellor, Nigeria Presidential Project 2023 (NPP 2023), Dr.Orji spoke at the inauguration of the Co-ordinating Executive Committee of NPP 2023, Lagos Chapter, in Lagos, at the weekend.Orji, who described NPP 2023 as a political advocacy group, said: “We are calling on all political parties to commence the necessary internal restructuring to create the enabling disposition for zoning their national chairmen to the northern part of Nigeria.He expressed NPP 2023 full support for the total removal of all subsidies as well as enthronement of the free-market economy while he called on Nigerians to go the way of peace through the ballot box as opposed to embarking on any undemocratic means against the opposition.

The Chairman, NPP 2023 Lagos State Chapter, Ikechukwu Okochi described the event as a turning point in the quest for Ndigbo, not just to become the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria come 2023, but also for Ndigbo to be fully recognized and be freely integrated into Nigeria as he called for Nigerians irrespective of their political inclination, creed, religious beliefs or ethnicity to come together in unison and work for the enthronement of a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction in 2023.He reiterated that NPP 2023 is not a political party but a voice of the people of the Southeast and Nigeria at large, calling for the restoration of true unity, oneness, equity, justice, stability, good governance, and development in Nigeria.
