Jail staff knew Kiekisz took medication for bipolar disorder and depression and that had tried to commit suicide two days before his arrest, according to documents previously obtained by cleveland.It also happened after medical officials repeatedly begged jail staff to ensure inmates quickly receive medical screenings to identify those at risk of suicide.That caused hundreds of inmates to go without getting medical screenings at a time when the jail was overpopulated and understaffed, something medical officials pleaded with the jail staff to change.Brenden encountered a jail staff who dismissed him, a staff that didn’t follow rules at a jail that had few rules in place.
