Rittenhouse was too young to purchase and possess a gun, but he agreed to pay for the firearm, Black testified.I answered it and he just said, 'I shot somebody, I shot somebody,' and then hung up right away," Black testified.Rittenhouse returned to the dealership "freaking out," pale and sweaty, Black testified."He said he had to do it, it was self-defense, people were trying to hurt him," Black testified.

By Omar Jimenez and Kelly McCleary, CNN Dominick Black, the man who bought Kyle Rittenhouse the gun he used in deadly shootings during unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in 2020 has agreed to a plea deal related to weapons charges, his defense attorney told CNN.Rittenhouse, 17 at the time of the shootings, said he fired in self-defense amid chaotic unrest surrounding the 2020 police shooting of Jacob Blake, a 29-year-old Black man, in Kenosha.
