NHS England chief Sir Simon Stevens said he hoped more treatments will become widely available for coronavirus in the future, and that the disease will become much more treatable if all goes well.Speaking from Downing Street, Sir Simon said: “Fundamentally, the driver of the death rate is the infection rate, set against that we are seeing continuing improvements in hospital treatment for severely sick coronavirus patients.
