California’s Creek Fire 100% contained after winter storm
A recent winter storm allowed firefighters to finally triumph.

xml:space="preserve"> xml:space="preserve"> One of the largest wildfires in California history was 100% contained Thursday after four months of destruction.The Creek Fire torched almost 380,000 acres in and around Sierra National Forest in central California, according to fire officials.Sierra National Forest will remain closed for at least two weeks as rangers clear out various hazards caused by the fire.Three other fires have burned more acres in California, but all three started from multiple sources before combining into giant blazes, according to the Fresno Bee.
