After years of working on the book, A Promised Land is finally set to be released shortly after this year’s presidential election.At almost 800 pages, A Promised Land won’t be a quick read by any means.There were many highs (like the fact that he was the first Black president in American history and the passing of the Affordable Care Act), but there were also some lows (like his nickname as the “Deporter-in-Chief”), and Obama wanted to touch on them all for A Promised Land.View this post on Instagram A post shared by Barack Obama (@barackobama) on Sep 17, 2020 at 5:00am PDT “I’ve spent the last few years reflecting on my presidency, and in A Promised Land I’ve tried to provide an honest accounting of my presidential campaign and my time in office,” said Obama in an official statement.
