A Costco store in Washington state is keeping its doors open after 145 workers tested positive for COVID following “some sort of superspreader event.”

” According to a release from the Yakima Health District, while several employees who previously tested positive at the store in the central Washington town of Union Gap have since left quarantine or isolation, the outbreak is not under control.“As Costco continues its site wide testing, we anticipate the number of cases to continue to go up over the next few days as results are received,” Melissa Sixberry, director of Disease Control 3 at Yakima Health, said.A Costco store in Washington state is keeping its doors open after 145 workers tested positive for COVID following “some sort of superspreader event.The big box store is working with the county on its testing program and implemented a number of other recommended changes to keep the doors open.

We need the help of the community to also follow the COVID-19 safety recommendations so we can keep work places safe, so we can keep schools safe, so we can keep each other safe by not overwhelming our health system,” he said.(Richard Vogel/AP) However, the health district has not recommended closing any businesses in the area, including the aforementioned Costco.
