1-Year-Old Boy Killed, 2 Other Kids Burned in Sherman, N.Y. Fire - Erie News Now
The fire was reported around 1:21 a.m. Wednesday at a home in the 100 block of W. Main St. in Sherman.

The 12 year old and eight year old had to jump from a second story window to get out, according to investigators.Fire Wednesday, January 12th 2022, 8:11 AM EST Updated: Wednesday, January 12th 2022, 12:44 PM EST An electrical issue appears to have started the fire that claimed the life of a one-year-old boy and left two other kids with burns in Chautauqua County early Wednesday morning, according to the Sheriff's Office.Three other children - a 12-year-old girl, eight-year-old boy and one-year-old boy - were located in second floor bedrooms and could not use the stairway due to the fire, the Sheriff's Office said.The one-year-old child, who has since been identified as Watson Taylor, did not make it out and died from the fire, the Sheriff's Office said.

An electrical issue where the electric feed enters the home caused the fire, according to investigators.Both were taken to UPMC Hamot for treatment of burns.
